Dr. Long grew up in Orange County, CA, and majored in neurobiology at the University of California, Irvine. She completed her medical education at Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Long completed her neurology residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and her fellowship in epilepsy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Her professional interests include outpatient general neurology, management of epilepsy and seizure disorders and interpreting electroencephalograms (EEGs).

Elizabeth McIntyre, PA-C has extensive clinical experience that she brings to her role as Physician Assistant in the Neurology Department. Having initially worked in business administration and theater arts, she developed an interest in patient care while working as an ambulance based emergency medical technician. She soon decided to pursue a career in medicine and trained as a Physician Assistant at Emory University School of Medicine. She has focused her work in Emergency Medicine and Orthopedics prior to pursuing the field of Neurology. Besides providing general neurology care, she holds a special clinic dedicated to complex migraine headache management. Elizabeth’s clinical interests also include Traumatic Brain Injury and the evaluation and treatment of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI).

Abirami Muthukumaran, M.D.

Dr. Abirami Muthukumaran graduated from Chennai Medical College, India. She completed her Residency in Neurology at the UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Muthukumaran did additional training with a Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and UCLA.

Dr. Muthukumaran is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and is Board Certified by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, specializing in Adult Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology.

Dr. Muthukumaran has served as Director of ALS Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, participated in clinical research with the NIH for ALS patients, and presented at the American Academy of Neurology. Her interests include traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Originally from Camarillo, California, Dr. Powell attended UCLA and received his degree in biology. After college, he pursued his medical education at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond Virginia. Dr. Powell stayed on the East Coast and trained in neurology at Emory University in Atlanta. He remained at Emory for additional training in neurophysiology. Dr. Powell is board certified in neurology and a member of the American Academy of Neurology. His professional interests include general outpatient neurology, inpatient consultations, and reading EEGs.
