										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Dr. Andrew Sou is a Board-Certified Osteopathic Physician specializing in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases.</p>
<p>Dr. Sou earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Internship and Residency training in Internal Medicine at Trios Health in Kennewick, Washington, where he also served as Chief Resident in his final year. Afterwards he practiced as a Hospitalist/Generalist in Seattle, Washington.</p>
<p>Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Sou returned to Southern California and completed a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, CA. He now resides in Ventura, California practicing as an Infectious Disease Physician.</p>
<p>In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Sou is a member of several professional associations, including the Infectious Disease Association of California and the Infectious Disease Society of America. He has presented research and lectures on Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Stewardship. He has published in peer-reviewed journals such as Archives of Clinical and Biomedical Research and Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine. In his free time, Dr. Sou enjoys running half-marathons, bringing his golf handicap as low as possible, and cooking meals with his fiancée.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Dr. Riffat Muzaffer is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. She received her Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease training at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Early in her medical career, she excelled in basic science bench research which allowed her to gain expertise in protein purification, gel electrophoresis, immunoblot and PCR testing. She also developed skills in bacterial DNA and RNA isolation. Upon further reflection, Dr. Muzaffer found she was most attracted to clinical medicine. Along with her internal medicine and infectious disease work, she has an interest in the care of patients with HIV Disease and AIDS. She enjoys the care of complex illness and strives to treat each of her patients with compassion and understanding.</p>

She hopes her varied clinical experiences and ability to speak Spanish will allow her the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population.</p>

She worked in Infectious Disease in Haiti for a year with Dr. Paul Farmer&#8217;s Partners in Health and also gained experience working at Harvard&#8217;s Brigham and Women&#8217;s Hospital prior to coming to Ventura. She loves traveling, cooking, gardening, and hiking in her spare time.</p>
