
Endocrinology
Dr. Leon Fogelfeld recently joined the Division of Endocrinology at Oceanview Medical Specialists. He came from Chicago where he was for more than 20 years the Chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County and the Program Director of the combined Rush/County Endocrinology Fellowship Program. He is Professor of Medicine (Adjunct) at Rush University Medical School.
Dr. Fogelfeld graduated Cum Laude at University of Milan in Italy and did Medicine Residency in Israel. He accomplished his Endocrinology Fellowship training in Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago.
Dr. Fogelfeld was active in endocrine and diabetes research. He published many articles and book chapters in areas of thyroid cancer, clinical outcomes in diabetes and in other clinical topics. He is now taking care of our patients with endocrine and diabetes disorders, implementing his long clinical and academic expertise.
Dr. Fogelfeld enjoys life in California with his family and grandchildren. He likes to play tennis, reads books and assists his wife in her artwork.
