Dr. Dehghan is a board-certified rheumatologist with extensive clinical experiences. He completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Alameda Health System – Highland Hospital in Oakland, CA and completed his Rheumatology fellowship at Stanford University Hospital and Clinics in Stanford, CA. He is double board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
Dr. Dehghan provides care to patients with different types of rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren’s syndrome, scleroderma, polymyositis, dermatomyositis, gout, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia and other rheumatic diseases of the joint, soft tissue, and connective tissue. He believes strongly in educating patients about their medical conditions and treatment options so they can be active participants in their health care.
Dr. Dehghan is a fellow of both the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology. He is certified by both the American College of Rheumatology and the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists (USSONAR) in the use of ultrasound as part of his practice in rheumatology for diagnosis and treatment of different types of arthritis and other musculoskeletal disorders. He is also certified in Clinical Densitometry (CCD) by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) for the interpretation of bone densitometry and treatment of osteoporosis.
Dr. Dehghan is a member of multiple medical associations, including American College of Physicians, American College of Rheumatology, California Rheumatology Alliance, California Medical Association, Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists and International Society for Clinical Densitometry.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Dehghan enjoys traveling, reading, watching movies, playing soccer and spending time with his family. He is fluent in English and Farsi.
