Dermatology
Dr. James Weintraub is a board-certified dermatologist with more than four decades of experience providing comprehensive dermatologic care throughout Ventura County. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania before completing his Master of Medical Science at Rutgers Medical School.
Dr. Weintraub completed his dermatology residency at Case Western Reserve University and served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at UCLA School of Medicine. In 1981, he established dermatology practices in Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village, where he has continued to care for generations of patients with a commitment to personalized, evidence-based treatment.
Throughout his career, Dr. Weintraub has remained actively involved in dermatologic research and clinical education. He has participated in numerous research studies involving psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne, antifungal therapies, and herpes zoster in collaboration with leading pharmaceutical organizations. His work has also been published in the British Journal of Dermatology.
Dr. Weintraub is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology. He has also served as a keynote speaker for multiple national pharmaceutical and dermatology organizations, sharing his expertise on advancements in dermatologic care and treatment.
Today, Dr. Weintraub continues to provide compassionate dermatologic care with a focus on helping patients achieve healthy skin through prevention, education, and individualized treatment plans.
